Job Description
  • Perform testing that a Materials Tech normally completes: preparation of cable samples, materials preparation for aging in different environments, testing incoming materials, work with Physical Testing load frames, and many other laboratory equipment.
  • This employee will maintain organization of test samples, and perform data transfer from computer to Excel documentation or to the Notes system.
  • They will need to work with engineers to get them the information needed for the work being requested.   
  • Willingness and ability to follow lab procedures and directions
  • Willingness and ability to perform repetitive work. This position can be very monotonous, candidates need to be aware of that when applying.
Qualifications

Education:

  • 2 or 4 year degree in Chemistry or Material Science is preferred, but not required.
  • Candidates with a 2 year degree will be given first preference.
  • 4 year degrees are acceptable.
  • Anything over a 4 year degree will likely be overqualified.

Experience:

  • 1-3 Years with AAS, will consider new grads with BS in Chemistry or Material Science.
