Job description

JAC Products is seeking a Material Technician for 1st shift to join our team in Saline, MI.  As a cycle counter, you will be responsible to perform cycle counts on material within the facilities, and review and correct negative inventory balances per the cycle count log. Additionally, you will work with the finance team to make necessary inventory adjustments.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Review and maintain correct cycle count files and logs as required.
2. Cycle count parts showing up on the negative inventory balance reports and cycle count log.
3. Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
5. Cycle count any engineering changes and new launch material for accuracy. 
6. Assist material planners on identifying and resolve MAPICS/Production Scanning issues impacting inventory balances with data. 
7. Communicate professionally and courteously to all personnel and provide responses to questions.
8. Performs all other functions as required; included are any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within JAC Products Inc.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

1. Maintain a team-oriented working environment that allows for individual differences and provide for individual growth.
2. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals and operating instructions.
3. Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
4. Computer system knowledge.
5. Knowledge of scales.
6. Excellent communication and problem solving skills.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

1. Ability to pass the necessary testing to obtain a lift truck license
2. Two (2) years experience in a similar position
