Position Overview:

The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient and organized movement of materials, products, and goods within our production facility. They are also responsible for supporting our production team in operations tasks needed to meet our manufacturing requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Movement of Materials; reading work orders/transfer orders, physical and system movement of material, cycle counting, and shipping finished goods/materials.
  • Operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Operates production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Participates in the Safety Programs and proactively upholds the Safety Culture.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in clean orderly condition and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform required equipment inspections, sweep, dust, mop and organize warehouse/work area to ensure safe operation.
  • Cross train and help in other areas depending on workload.
  • Complete any other tasks as needed or as directed by management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to operate lift trucks, cranes, and other material handling equipment.
  • Must be able to follow established written and verbal instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year material handling experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding and knowledge of manufacturing management systems and ERP, prefer SAP.
  • Knowledge of how workflow operates in a production facility.
