Job description

Job Title: Material Specialist/Schedule Planner I - Material Planning and Control
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 1 year
Location: Waterloo, IA 50703
Shift: 1st shift position (Hours: 6 AM to 2:30 PM with possible overtime.

Overtime: May include extended weekday hours or weekend work.
Flexibility: Candidates must be willing to work off-shift hours if needed.
Description:
  • Plans and schedules simple manufacturing processes of all current production and service parts.
  • Schedules material requirements per the Client Production System, including Kanban's/triggers, delivery, and production schedule achievement.
  • May develop line sequencing of options and provide work direction.

Duties:
  • Schedules production and service parts.
  • Expedites production and purchased parts.
  • Coordinates needed parts from other Client departments.
  • Communicates and implements engineering and material changes.
  • Assists in manpower planning and general administrative duties.
  • Supports inventory integrity and accuracy, including production and scrap reporting.

Position Details:
Qualifications:
  • Education: 4-year degree in any business-related field.
  • Experience:
    • Manufacturing experience is a plus.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel).
    • Open to recent graduates, but preference for candidates with 3-5 years of work history.
    • No gaps in employment history.
  • Work Location: 50% of the time will be spent on the shop floor.

Interview Process:
  • Conducted either onsite or via MS Teams.
  • Business casual dress code.
  • Metatarsal protection required on the first day.
