At Butternut Mountain Farm, a second-generation, Vermont family-owned company, we proudly package and ship pure maple syrup year-round โ€” not just during sugaring season. As one of the largest packers of pure maple syrup in the U.S., weโ€™re looking for a dependable, dedicated Material Runner to join our receiving team in Morrisville, Vermont.


As Material Runner, your job is to provide raw materials and transfer of finished goods in the production environment to ensure a smooth flow of materials using just-in-time practices to meet production needs. Will perform a wide range of work associated with receiving, warehousing, issuing supplies to production, operations of powered material handling equipment, and perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

As Material Runner, primary responsibilities include:

ยท Provide individual production lines with materials as needed.

ยท Constantly communicate with production lines to understand the timing of when materials are needed.

ยท Coordinate with warehouse personnel as needed to ensure need materials are accessible.

ยท Verify quantities and correct items when removing finished goods from production.

ยท Monitor raw material inventories and notify warehouse leader/manager of potential deficiencies.

ยท Perform physical inventory as required or assigned.

ยท Maintain accurate records of transactions.

ยท Prep and stage materials as needed.

ยท Stock shelves as required.

ยท Operate forklift to load/unload trucks and locate and pull finished product.

ยท Use barrel cart to move individual barrels as needed.

ยท Use walk behind electric or manual jacks to organize pallets of finished product or packaging


To perform this position as Material Runner:

ยท Five to ten years of relevant warehouse and/or production experience preferred.

ยท Basic knowledge of warehouse and production practices.

ยท Ability to stoop, bend, work in cold and hot conditions, and be standing for most of scheduled work day.

ยท Good reading, writing, and math skills required.

ยท Ability to work cooperatively with other employees in a team-oriented work environment.

ยท Ability to set and act on priorities and meet deadlines.


Hours:

Monday โ€“ Thursday, 5:00 AM โ€“ 3:00 PM (there is some flexibility)
