Job description

Material Handler – Day Shift

Pay Rate: $22 Days $24.20 Swing
Schedule: Monday–Friday 

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to support daily operations by performing entry-level material-handling tasks. This role is essential to ensuring accurate movement, storage, and replenishment of materials throughout the facility. Successful team members will be in good standing (attendance, quality, and behavior) and will demonstrate proficiency in at least three key material-handling tasks.

Key Responsibilities

All Material Handler team members will be responsible for:

  • Receiving materials both physically and in the system for use in operations and engineering projects.
  • Moving approved materials between staging areas, storage locations, and work-in-process (WIP) locations.
  • Performing point‑of‑use parts replenishment for assigned work areas.
  • Supporting production through SPP (single parts presentation) kitting.
  • Completing and processing material transfer (MT) requests electronically or via hard copy.
  • Entering transactions in SAP and ISI’s Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Following materials management policies such as FIFO, 5S, Safety, Quality, Attendance, and proper warehousing/housekeeping.
  • Participating in daily cycle counts and inventory accuracy efforts.
  • Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and order‑picking equipment safely.
  • Communicating material movement status to internal customers via email.
  • Actively participating in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, including proposing and implementing improvements.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous material-handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and internal customers (verbal and written).
  • Experience or certification in operating material-handling equipment a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable with extensive walking and repetitive physical motions (squatting, bending, lifting, climbing ladders).
  • Basic computer skills; experience with MS Office, SAP, Agile, and WMS systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
