Job Description: The Material Management position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to achieve cost savings while ensuring timely and efficient movement of materials throughout the program lifecycle. This role utilizes Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to align material flow with cash flow objectives and program schedules, coordinates cross-functional supply chain resources, manages material and labor budgets, and resolves supply chain disruptions. Additionally, the position involves tracking and reporting on program performance, collaborating with teams to improve processes, and supporting both government and commercial projects of high complexity.  

Essential Functions:

  • Develop strategies, implement plans, and track progress for cost savings initiatives.  

  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to effectively time phase material to service cash flow objectives and program schedule.  

  • Plan, schedule and monitor the efficient movement of material from identification of the requirement to delivery to the end user.  

  • Interpret material requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules.  

  • Monitor and reconcile any relevant Supply Chain disruptions that develop throughout the program lifecycle.  

  • Coordinate key cross functional Supply Chain resources to ensure scale-able internal capacity.  

  • Estimate and Manage labor and material budgets for program Supply Chain resources.  

  • Coordinate material distribution with purchasing, warehouse, and end user.  

  • Establish, track, and report EVMS performance for large budget programs.  

  • Plan and schedule materials, equipment, and commodity products of high complexity for government and commercial programs.  

  • Participates and/or lead projects/teams as assigned.  

  • Identify process improvements and facilitate implementation. 

Qualifications: 

  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field or have completed their Bachelor's degree within the last 12 months,  regardless of age.

PAY TRANSPARENCY:

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $53,000 - $99,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
