Job description

Job Title: Storekeeper (Material Handler/ Warehouse Associate)

Work Place Flexibility: Onsite

Legal Entity: Entergy Mississippi, LLC

Position opened for: S29118 & S29119

Note: This is an onsite role based out of the Service Center in Jackson, MS.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Know and adhere to all company Safety rules and procedures.

  • Lead and participate in Safety meetings.

  • Ordering, receiving, and stocking of material inventory.

  • Conduct routine physical inventory.

  • Monitor and adjust automatic inventory replenishment levels.

  • Monitor bad order transformers, meters, and lighting.

  • INDUS data entry to charge material and maintain FERC required files.

  • Ordering of non stock items on Purchase requisition.

  • Coordinate resolution of problems and special shipments with the EDC and vendors.

  • Identify, inspect, prepare, and process materials for salvage or disposal.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly stores facility.

  • Must be able to become an Environmental Champion and maintain Environmental records associated with Stores operations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:

  • Prior forklift experience. Prefer a minimum 3-5 years' experience.

  • Previous warehouse experience. Prefer a minimum of 3-5 years' experience.

  • Perform basic math calculations.

  • Learn identity and nomenclature of standard electric utility material.

  • Basic Computer operation knowledge

  • Have a working knowledge of Asset Suite and other stores related software and applications such as Warehouse Management Software.

  • Ability to drag or roll 110 lb. Coils of wire and lift up to 60-80 lbs.

This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position and is subject to mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing
