Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and handling of materials within the warehouse environment. Your expertise will ensure smooth operations in shipping, receiving, and inventory management, supporting the overall productivity and safety of our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with heavy equipment to facilitate accurate and safe materials handling.
Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials manually and using equipment such as forklifts while adhering to safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Operate warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and other mechanical tools to accurately pick, pack, and process orders.
  • Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and order picking to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
  • Manage shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and updates in warehouse management systems.
  • Follow proper procedures for load & unload operations, ensuring safety standards are met at all times.
  • Assist with construction-related materials handling when required, demonstrating mechanical knowledge and adaptability.
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies during all materials handling activities.
Skills
  • Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling.
  • Proficiency operating heavy equipment including forklifts.
  • Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on heavy lifting safety practices.
