SUMMARY

The Material Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the flow of materials, inventory, and supplies to support production and operational requirements. This role ensures materials are available when needed, while maintaining optimal inventory levels, minimizing costs, and supporting on-time delivery goals.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and manage inventory control strategies to maintain appropriate stock levels.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time as needed to support operational and business objectives.

  • Oversee material planning, forecasting, and scheduling to support production requirements.

  • Coordinate purchasing activities and supplier relationships to ensure timely material availability.

  • Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation processes.

  • Analyze inventory trends and implement corrective actions to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.

  • Manage warehouse operations related to receiving, storage, and distribution of materials.

  • Track KPIs including inventory turns, stock accuracy, and on-time delivery.

  • Lead, train, and develop warehouse and inventory personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in materials management, inventory control, supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics.
