Your Opportunity:
Taylor Print & Visual Impressions is seeking a Material Handler to support production operations by receiving, storing, transporting, and issuing materials throughout the facility. This role is responsible for ensuring materials are available where and when needed, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting shipping and receiving activities while following all safety and quality requirements.
Work Authorization:
To be considered for Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Shift Available: 1st Shift - Monday - Friday; 5:30 AM - 2:30 PM or 2nd Shift 2:30pm - 11:30pm
Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload trucks, freight cars, conveyors, and other transport equipment using manual methods or material handling equipment.
  • Transport raw materials, finished goods, equipment, and supplies between departments and workstations.
  • Inspect, identify, tag, and store incoming materials accurately.
  • Pull, stage, and deliver materials to production areas based on job and production requirements.
  • Operate packaging, labeling, weighing, and sealing equipment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, receiving, shipping, and material movement records.
  • Report damaged materials, inventory discrepancies, and shipping irregularities.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and pallet wrapping equipment.
  • Maintain an organized work area and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Follow established safety, quality, ISO, and company procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

You Must Have:
  • One to three years of material handling, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work instructions, job tickets, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot routine issues and apply sound judgment in a production environment.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to safely use handheld tools such as box cutters and utility knives.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

Requirements Within This Position:
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility.
  • Constantly handles products, materials, and equipment.
  • Regularly move up to 50 pounds, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

We Would Also Prefer:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, printing, distribution, or warehouse environment.
  • Prior forklift experience.
  • Experience with inventory control or warehouse management systems.
