Job description

Position Summary

The Material Handler & Production Coordinator supports daily production operations within Paluo Solar’s PV module manufacturing workshop. This role ensures accurate material requisition, verification, delivery, and return processes while maintaining real‐time documentation and material traceability. The position is critical to preventing production downtime, controlling material loss, and supporting quality, warehouse, and process teams in a fast‐paced 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Material Requisition & Verification - Requisition raw and auxiliary materials (cells, glass, EVA, back sheet, ribbon, frames, junction boxes, sealants) according to production work orders. Verify model, specification, batch number, quantity, and codes to prevent mis‐picks and shortages.
  • Production Line Material Delivery - Deliver materials to designated workstations based on production rhythm. Monitor consumption and replenish materials promptly to avoid line stoppages.
  • Documentation & Ledger Management- Complete requisition, replenishment, return, and scrap documentation. Maintain real‐time ledgers for receiving, consumption, and returns to ensure alignment between physical stock and records.
  • Handling Returned, Waste & Defective Materials- Collect surplus, defective, and scrapped materials. Categorize and isolate materials properly and complete return‐to‐warehouse procedures. Track offcuts and waste and report abnormal loss.
  • Onsite Material Control- Organize and label materials in production areas to prevent mixing and batch confusion. Protect fragile materials from moisture, dust, and damage. Report abnormal or expired materials.
  • Inventory Support- Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts. Reconcile discrepancies and assist in root‐cause analysis.
  • 5S & Safety Compliance- Follow workshop safety regulations and standard material handling procedures. Maintain 5S in assigned areas and apply proper material protection measures.
  • Cross‐Department Coordination- Communicate with warehouse, production, quality, and process teams. Report shortages, defects, mismatches, and support material switching during process changes.

Required Qualifications

  • Familiarity with PV module materials and ability to read BOMs and work orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to work in a shift‐based manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of material traceability and 5S principles.
  • Ability to operate basic material handling tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in solar, semiconductor, or electronics manufacturing.
  • Bilingual English/Mandarin/Spanish.
  • Experience with ERP/MES systems.
