The Role:

Our site in Billerica/Bedford, MA is seeking a Senior Materials Manager to join our team. At Entegriswe use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world, and we are seeking employees who have the drive to continue that mission. As the Senior Materials Manager, you will have the responsibility to ensure that our production schedule is efficient and able to capture the needs of internal and external customers. You will work with business units, procurement, planners, IT, customer service and other appropriate resources to strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from customers through order fulfillment. In this role you will lead a team of Industrial Engineers, Production Schedulers, and Inventory Analysts. Critical relationships will include partnering directly with the Operations team in Billerica and Bedford sites as well as Centralized Planning and Buying extended team on strategic and future project related improvements and changes.

The Senior Materials Manager is also responsible for the strategic direction of the capacity planning for the Billerica and Bedford sites. Daily interactions with operations and other key functional partners to ensure that the manufacturing lead times are in line with customer and market expectations.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of site-wide production planning policies, procedures, and material control systems to ensure efficient, accurate, and cost-effective operations
  • Manage the direct reports, in regard to daily coaching, performance management, discipline, and succession planning.
  • Ensure materials are planned to company and customer requirements, while maintaining acceptable inventory levels
  • Oversee the development of production schedules and coordinate the efficient movement of materials in support of manufacturing and engineering
  • Prepare material requirement plans using enterprise resource planning systems as well as assist with establishing, maintaining, and improving the production control system
  • Partner with Global Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, Business Unit and Commodity Management to ensure supplier and supply chain strategies are robust.
  • Support divisional S&OP and SAM process through analysis and recommendations to create an effective supply and demand management process
  • Implements a lean approach to materials management including PFEP, capacity models, and processes that enable effective planning and lead time strategies
  • Actively collaborates and develops relationships with other business stakeholders to drive business process improvements
  • Proactively identify solutions in warehousing and scheduling that increase efficiency and performance toward improving delivery, lead time and cost
  • Create development plans for materials management team members and ensure talent pipeline is in place for key functions
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing to optimize inventory levels to ensure premier customer service
  • Promote and foster a safe work environment

What We Seek:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field required.
  • At least seven years' materials management experience, including manufacturing work experience in materials/production planning or supply chain management, preferably in a SAP environment.
  • Experience supporting global operational footprint
  • Experience managing a team of direct reports with an emphasis on development/coaching
  • APICS certification is desired
  • MS Office proficiency, SAP Super User experience is preferred
  • Lean and Six sigma training or certification
