Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler to join our warehouse operations team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is responsible for maintaining the efficient flow of incoming and outgoing materials throughout the facility while supporting order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and shipping operations.
Job Description
  • Pick, pack, and audit customer orders for accuracy.
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, including palletized and non-palletized materials.
  • Transport materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas.
  • Operate stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and efficiently.
  • Assemble customer orders and prepare them for shipment.
  • Sort and stock materials on racks, shelves, and designated storage locations.
  • Label, mark, and identify products and materials accurately.
  • Open and inspect containers, crates, and other incoming shipments.
  • Weigh, count, and verify materials to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Enter inventory and shipping information into warehouse management systems.
  • Support efforts to reduce overdue orders and improve customer delivery performance.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Properly use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Adhere to all warehouse operating procedures and g uidelines.
  • Work closely with a team lead and a team of 5-6 warehouse associates.
  • Support internal and external customer needs through accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Contribute to overall team performance and operational goals.
  • Assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned.
  • Shift: first shift(6am-2pm Monday -Friday) and second shift(2pm-10pm Monday- Friday)
Skills Required
  • 3-5 years of warehouse, distribution, or material handling experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of forklift operation experience.
  • Experience operating: Stand-up forklifts, Sit-down forklifts, Pallet jacks, Order pickers
  • Ability to read and interpret warehouse management software and shipping documents.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, see, and hear for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb and descend stairs.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment and computer systems.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Preferred
  • Previous experience in a high-volume warehouse or fulfillment center environment.
