Job description

P O S I T I O N S U M M A R Y

The Material Control Associate manages the daily movement of production materials on the shop floor. This includes all inventory pulls and replenishment, daily transaction logging for supervisor review, coverage of all mold breaks, and base stow support as needed. When material control duties are complete, this role transitions directly to subassembly production support. This is a floor-based, physically active position requiring reliability, accuracy, and the ability to work independently within documented procedures.


P R I M A R Y R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S

— Pull and fill production materials according to daily work orders — and floor demand

— Log all inventory transactions daily — part numbers, quantities, and timestamps — for supervisor review

— Maintain accurate stock locations; report discrepancies to supervisor immediately

— Cover all mold breaks as scheduled or directed by supervisor

— Assist with putting mold bases away as needed

— Operate forklift and powered industrial moving equipment as required

— Transition to sub-assembly operations when material control duties are complete

— Keep material staging areas organized and free of unauthorized items

— Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards at all times

— Perform all other duties as assigned or as needed to support production


R E Q U I R E D Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S

— Ability to read and follow written work instructions and part numbers accurately

— Basic math skills — counting, quantity verification

— Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and reach shelving at standard rack heights

— Ability to stand and move throughout an active production floor for full shift

— Willingness to learn forklift and powered industrial equipment operation — certification training provided in-house

— Reliable attendance and punctuality

— Ability to work effectively in a multilingual team environment


P R E F E R R E D Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S

— Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling role

— Current forklift certification or prior powered industrial equipment experience

— Familiarity with inventory transaction logging or basic ERP/tracking systems

— Interest in advancing into mold tech or setup roles

— English-speaking ability is a plus
