Job Description:
THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE LOCATED IN SPOKANE, WASHINGTON.
Receives, identifies, stores and delivers a wide variety of raw material and manufactured/purchased parts for additional processing, assembly, machining, or direct shipment. This role also labels, packs, and loads items for shipment according to specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to office records, or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory levels.
  • Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count.
  • Investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
  • Prepares reports, such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.
  • Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods.
  • Re-stocks items as necessary.
  • Labels shelves.
  • Liaises with vendors and purchasing agents, and prepares deliveries.
  • May perform other routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting customers.
  • Work from shop orders, receiving reports, material requisitions, repair order lists and/or verbal instructions to identify disposition of materials
  • Receive, identify, issue and store material/parts in established location using appropriate identification method
  • Fill and distribute basic material and repair orders
  • Label, pack and load items for shipment according to specifications
  • Unload incoming trucks as directed; inspect for damage; compare items and quantities received against freight bills
  • Maintain records of all items received and shipped
  • Perform cycle count to maintain inventory accuracy; reconcile variances
  • Detect defective materials, unusual conditions or operating difficulties; provide necessary documentation to drive corrective actions
  • Operate materials handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or organize storage
  • Responsible for the proper handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements (USA only).
  • Correctly label and date hazardous waste drums and transfer to authorized waste vendor.
  • Recognize spills/leaks and handle as trained and in accordance to company policy
  • Assist as necessary to maintain proper flow of work through assigned area; participate in training less experienced associates
  • Assist in generating and updating standard work instructions/procedures; train others on proper procedures
  • Actively participate in team meetings to communicate and help resolve any cost, quality, or production issues
  • Regularly and effectively communicate and interact with other team members
  • Regular and predictable attendance at the worksite and on any assigned shift or work schedule is required for this position, as is the ability to work frequent overtime; this is not a job that can be performed remotely
  • Maintain equipment and work area in clean and orderly fashion
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience and Skills:
  • General computer experience. Microsoft Office experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred
  • Ability to present written information in a clear and legible fashion.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and procedures to complete tasks.
  • Ability to research and present recommendations to improvements and controls
  • Ability to read basic blueprints (situational)
  • Ability to operate hand/fork trucks

Physical Requirements
To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, an individual must be willing and able to
  • Work occasional evenings and weekends to meet deadlines.
  • Sit at a desk or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Move about the office and factory with lifting, bending and reaching, roughly 50-80% of the time.
  • Dial, hear and respond to telephone calls and inquiries.
  • Lift up to 50lbs repeatedly as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively (visually and verbally) with internal and external contacts.

Compensation: $19-23 hourly (DOE)
