The Quality Engineering Technician provides inspection support for final and incoming inspection of contract manufacturing materials. Inspection processes include visual and dimensional inspection and review of manufacturing and supplier documentation.
The Quality Engineer Technician position supports Quality Engineering techniques including: Problem solving using Lean Six Sigma methodology, Process Validations, Process Development and optimization, Gage R&R, reducing dependence on inspection, ISO 13485 and/or 21CFR820 compliance.
Shift available: 1st shift (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm)

Responsibilities
  • Inspecting final documentation packages
  • Conducting incoming inspection of raw material
  • Managing the flow of finished goods to shipping
  • Coordinating timely processing of Nonconformances, Process Deviations, and other quality records
  • Control and organization of the quarantine hold area
  • Support maintaining control plans/pFMEAs
  • Supporting document control activities
  • Supporting Gage R&R facilitation
  • Supporting Corrective and Preventive Actions
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects
  • Assisting with troubleshooting of production processes
  • Revising quality procedures
  • Conducting training, including onboarding of new employees
  • Other duties as necessary

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with operating manufacturing and/or test equipment.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent
  • 2 years experience in a Quality Engineering Technician role for a medical device manufacturer or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with ISO and FDA compliance
  • Six Sigma Green Belt

Physical Demands
  • Primarily light office work
  • May involve bending and lifting of light to medium weight objects.

Compensation
The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $21.00 - 30.00/hr.
