Warehouse Associate

Oakwood Veneer Company is hiring a full-time Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator to join our warehouse and distribution team in Troy, MI. This is a dependable Monday–Friday day shift opportunity offering stable hours, paid training, competitive benefits, and long-term career growth.

Located near I-75, Stephenson Highway, and 15 Mile Road, our facility provides convenient access for employees throughout the Metro Detroit area.

Position Overview

As a Warehouse Associate, you will support daily warehouse operations by preparing customer shipments, operating forklifts, receiving materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring orders are completed safely and efficiently. Team members regularly fulfill approximately 30 customer orders per day while maintaining quality and service standards.

This role includes forklift operation, warehouse order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, inventory transactions, and general warehouse support. Training is provided on products, warehouse procedures, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pull, stage, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment while maintaining order accuracy
  • Operate forklifts (Hi-Lo) to load and unload semi-trailers, move materials, and support shipping and receiving operations
  • Enter inventory data into company systems and maintain an organized, safe warehouse environment
Qualifications

We are seeking a dependable and motivated employee who works well independently and as part of a team.

Required qualifications include:

  • Minimum 18 months of forklift / Hi-Lo experience, including loading and unloading trailers
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 60–70 pounds safely
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety

Experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, manufacturing, lumber, woodworking, distribution, inventory control, logistics, or material handling is helpful but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance after 90 days, a $40 weekly attendance bonus starting immediately, 401(k) with company match after one year, tuition assistance eligibility after 90 days, paid training, optional overtime opportunities, and steady daytime scheduling.
