As a world leader in the design and manufacturing industry, Active Dynamics Novi is seeking an eager and enthusiastic Material Handler to join our successful Novi team immediately. We are looking for a talent with solid professional skills.

Purpose of Position: Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution. Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Material Transport & Equipment Operation:

  • Transport raw materials and in-process assemblies to specific production areas on schedule to maintain workflow
  • Ensure materials are delivered to production areas in the correct quantity and condition to support production schedules
  • Safely operate powered industrial trucks (PIT), including forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and hoists
  • Perform pre-use safety inspections on equipment and conduct basic operator maintenanc

​​​​​​​Inventory Control & Tracking:

  • Catalog, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations
  • Utilize (ERP) systems or inventory software to update stock levels, log work orders, and track material movement
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through timely and accurate material transactions in the ERP system
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure system accuracy and prevent stockouts
  • Assist with investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies identified through cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Utilize material pick lists for preparing kits for production
  • Creates & submits proper documentation as required
  • Enter received goods into the inventory system as per existing policies & procedures
  • Report discrepancies or anomalies of incoming goods/cycle counts per procedures
  • Issue materials to work orders per the pick lists in ERP system

Safety & Workplace Maintenance:

  • Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines and facility protocols
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment to eliminate safety hazards and optimize space
  • Other duties as assigned

Educational Requirement:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Written & oral aptitude in English

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Experience with working with ERP and Inventory Management Systems
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, pick lists, receiving documents, and inventory reports
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Conscientious and punctual
  • Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) forklift certification is an advantage
  • Availability to work overtime including weekends and evenings when necessary
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills
