Job description

The Slotting Associate is responsible for:
A) Input and maintenance of SKU Master Data
B) Positioning of inventory (Sku/Item) within the Warehouse based upon storage and pick type
C) Monitoring and maintaining Warehouse Location (pick slot) integrity
D) Executing Item/Slot changes as needed to minimize Wave Allocation issues
E) Supporting the Operations team thru management of WMS Item and Location tools
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement effective warehouse slotting methods to optimize space utilization, improve picking efficiency, and minimize travel time for material handling equipment.ย ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Ensure that all product is assigned to appropriate pick slots to allow fill of all ordersย ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Work to find solutions to slotting inefficiencies by analyzing data with various spreadsheet/software applications.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Optimize the efficiency and productivity of the network warehouse operation by implementing effective slotting strategies and integrating key performances indicators (KPIs)ย ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Ensures that all product is ergonomically slotted to reduce personal injury and/or product damage.ย ย ย ย 
  • Initiate and manage the set-up/slotting new items. Analyzes slot and product dimensions including ti-hi, cube, etc.ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Operate the Cubiscan machine in order to provide accurate package dimensions.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Provide training and guidance to warehouse leadership teams on proper slotting techniques and exception handling.ย ย ย 
  • Perform regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with slotting plans, SOPs, and safety regulations.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and analyze data to create slotting strategies that align with operational goals and product characteristics.ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Create and maintain informational records, reports and filing systems.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.

The anticipated rate for this position is $25.00 per hour depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as early access to pay, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 152 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 64 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
