Job description

Job Title: Chemical Warehouse Associate
Location: Newark, DE
Type: Contract (possible extension)
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00/hour
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Overview
Seeking a chemical warehouse associate to support increased production demand. This person will accurately weigh chemical compounds to fulfill weigh orders, capture weights per instructions, and assist with labeling/packaging while following SOPs, safety, and quality procedures in a controlled environment
Responsibilities
  • Accurately fulfill client weigh order requests by measuring and weighing chemical compounds according to work instructions.
  • Perform tare, weight capture, and gross weighing for production orders.
  • Verify compounds match order requirements prior to weighing.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Daily Assessment Sheet instructions.
  • Confirm glove boxes are properly charged with nitrogen before weighing operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by cleaning workstations, utensils, equipment, and disposing of waste.
  • Restock supplies and maintain inventory of materials as needed.
  • Assist with labeling and packaging of materials and finished products.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience using precision scales (0.00001g to 120g) is preferred.
  • Prior warehouse, laboratory, manufacturing, or distribution experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and chemical handling is preferred.
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including lab coat, gloves, and face mask.
  • Must have close visual acuity to accurately perform weighing and inspection activities.
