Job description

What you will experience in this position:

At nVent Management Company, we offer an outstanding opportunity for a Material Clerk in Oregon, WI. Your role will be pivotal in advancing our world-class operations! You will coordinate all electrical and structural material movement within various locations, ensuring flawless execution of tasks and maintaining strict cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities include
  • Retrieve and stage materials for jobs, returns, and/or service.
  • Unload incoming materials using 3-way match and store them in accurate locations.
  • Receipt incoming material into the ERP system.
  • Submit required documentation to Accounting.
  • Conduct cycle counts.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
  • Initiate purchase orders to maintain adequate inventory of all stock materials, shop supplies, etc. daily.
  • Keep material and receiving areas neat and orderly.
  • Operate various forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Build crates for service and warranty as needed.
  • Coordinate material.
  • Assist in other duties as assigned.

You have
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in material handling in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated diligent and detailed work ethic.
  • Ability to work well with others in a cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing across the organization.
  • Bottom-line accountability and cost-conscious orientation.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands including safely lifting up to 70 pounds, standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver's License required.
  • Forklift Certification or experience is required.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm. Up to 10 hours on Friday
