Job description

We are currently seeking to hire a Material Handler/Excavator Operator that possesses our same values. Are you an experienced pro at running one of these machines? Instagram

Duties and Responsibilities of the Material Handler Operator

  • Operate material handler (excavator) with grapple, magnet and/or shear to move, manage and organize metals.
  • Appropriately identify, handle, sort and process materials.
  • Load and unload trucks with metals in a safe manner with excavator.
  • Customer service.
  • Perform the staging and inspection of materials.
  • Report non-conforming materials.
  • Assist with organization of steel yard and make space for new product daily.
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance inspections on equipment before operating.

Skills and Experience

  • MORE THAN 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED accurately, efficiently and safely operating excavator/material handler.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in scrap metals and/or demoliton is a plus.
