Job Description

Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City is seeking a Materials Associate to join our team. In this position you will be responsible for: receiving product, delivering departmental supplies, stocking inventoried supplies, picking and staging supplies to fill par levels and departmental orders, managing out-dates, accurately and timely managing code carts and other critical procedure carts replenishment, locating recalled items and process for return shipment, maintaining departmental orderliness, rotating stock, cycle counting inventory, annual physical inventory, and all other duties assigned.

Shift Details:5:00anm-1:30pm, alternating weekends

This is a multi-role position primarily in the linen department but will assist in equipment and customer service rep roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, handle storeroom equipment, put away daily stock shipment

  • Enters data in hospital Materials Management Information System

  • Clean and disinfect medical equipment between patient use to assure it is ready for next patient use

  • Assists with the daily movement of linen carts

  • Able to operate a hand pallet jack

  • Able to utilize various electronic devices for order taking

  • May also be asked, from time to time, to work at other SLHS CS locations

We are seeking a Materials Associate with proficient math skills as well as great communication skills - written and oral. To be successful in this role you will need to be able to adapt to and become knowledgeable of numerous software applications. Have the ability to learn hospital supply terms, and be able to operate successfully with minimal supervision.

Minimum starting rate of $18.00/hour
