What is a matchmaking remote?

A Matchmaking Remote job involves helping individuals or businesses find compatible matches, such as in dating, networking, or business partnerships, while working from a remote location. The job may include interviewing clients, assessing compatibility, and providing ongoing support throughout the matching process. Remote matchmakers often work for agencies, platforms, or as independent consultants, allowing them to serve clients globally. This role requires strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in therapy, an empathetic approach, and an unwavering commitment to facilitating positive change for our clients.

About the Organization

Iris Counseling Center, located in Rockville, Maryland, is a leading provider of mental health services focused on promoting emotional well-being through accessible counseling. We believe in the power of therapeutic relationships to empower clients and foster resilience. Our mission is to create a supportive environment where individuals can explore their thoughts and feelings safely, paving the way for growth and healing. As a remote service provider, we leverage innovative telehealth technology to ensure our services reach a diverse client population.

The successful candidate will work in a fully remote setting, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while providing essential therapy services to clients from the comfort of their own homes. This outpatient care facility embraces a collaborative and forward-thinking approach, encouraging therapists to engage in ongoing professional development and share best practices as part of a supportive and communicative team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct engaging and effective remote therapy sessions with clients through secure telehealth platforms, ensuring a personalized approach that meets each individual's needs.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to clients' unique circumstances and therapeutic goals, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to guide sessions.
  • Maintain rigorous and accurate documentation of client progress, interventions, and outcomes in alignment with ethical and legal standards, ensuring high-quality care.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute emotional distress, employing de-escalation techniques and safety planning as necessary.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including psychiatrists, medical professionals, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care across various domains.
  • Stay up to date with the latest research and developments in therapeutic modalities and mental health interventions to continuously enhance client outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population includes individuals of all ages, couples seeking to strengthen their relationships, and families overcoming challenges together. Many clients face issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and life transitions. As an LMFT, you will play a vital role in helping clients improve communication, resolve conflicts, and build healthier relationships, fostering a supportive environment tailored to their specific needs.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related mental health field from an accredited institution.
  • Active and unrestricted state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
  • Proven experience in providing therapy services, preferably in a remote setting, demonstrating familiarity with telehealth platforms and technology.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a natural ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage client caseloads and documentation requirements.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
  • Background working with diverse populations and understanding the nuances of cultural competency in therapeutic practices.
  • Skills in crisis management and intervention, particularly in teletherapy settings.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • A 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holidays, promoting work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for professional development, including training sessions and conferences.
  • Support for obtaining professional licenses and certifications, including reimbursement for exam fees.
  • A flexible work schedule to accommodate individual therapist and client needs.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Iris Counseling Center, we believe in investing in our staff’s growth and development. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will have the opportunity to engage in ongoing training, attend workshops, and participate in mentorship programs that will enhance your clinical skills and career path.
