High-Density Paving Machine Operator - Foreman Level | United Trades of America

Location: Hueytown/Birmingham, AL
Pay: $30-$35 per hour (based on experience)
Position Type: Full-Time

United Trades of America is seeking a highly skilled High-Density Paving Machine Operator Foreman to lead paving crews specializing in large commercial parking lot projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a respected team in the construction industry, with competitive pay based on your experience and leadership capabilities.

Position Overview:
As a High-Density Paving Machine Operator Foreman, you will take responsibility for setting up, operating, and optimizing asphalt paver machines, ensuring high-quality results. Familiarity with grading and experience operating motor graders is a significant advantage. You'll work closely with project managers, coordinate ground crews, and maintain safe and efficient work environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate high-density screed paver machines for commercial parking lot paving projects.

  • Set up equipment to ensure correct width, paving depth, line, and grade for each project.

  • Oversee ground personnel, screed operators, and other crew members on-site.

  • Adjust machine controls and settings to optimize the quality and density of the mat.

  • Perform grading work as needed; experience with motor grader operation is a major plus.

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and concrete plant operators to maintain smooth workflow.

  • Conduct minor mechanical repairs and assist mechanics with larger repairs when necessary.
