Job description

The Product Marketing - MBA Intern will collaborate with the Product Marketing team to define product market positioning and messaging. You will perform competitive analysis, assist with go-to-market launch strategies, and track performance. This role is crucial for developing and executing marketing initiatives for Workiva's products.

What You'll Do

  • Compile analyses and build financial models on customer trends and historical data to support product decision-making
  • Lead and execute ad-hoc analyses to support data-driven initiatives and strategic projects
  • Conduct performance analysis of existing products, including pricing, adoption, and usage trends
  • Contribute to quarterly planning by helping define forward-looking product strategies
  • Quantify and size markets, identifying competitors, key players, and market trends
  • Design creative analytics and visualizations to provide deeper performance insights for senior management
  • Perform go-to-market performance reviews, including win/loss analysis, to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop templates, tools, and communications to drive consistency in GTM processes, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment
  • Identify gaps in GTM deliverables or needs and propose practical solutions
  • Support the creation and refinement of marketing collateral through research and content curation
  • Build strong working relationships with sales, pre-sales, product management, enablement, services, customer success, and cross-marketing teams

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business or a related field of study
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time or part-time MBA program or similar graduate or advanced degree program
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in strategic marketing

  • Possess proven leadership skills and the ability to influence and inspire your teams
  • Exhibit a self-starter mindset to execute in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to develop and communicate product vision to your team, peers, and stakeholders
  • Possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or similar applications
  • Possess working knowledge in marketing automation or project management type systems (e.g., Marketo, Highspot, JIRA, Monday.com, HubSpot, GitHub)
  • Be self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results, and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple processes, programs, and procedures simultaneously under pressure
  • Experience in SaaS or a similar industry
  • Examples of owning and delivering a major project or program
