Position: Human Resource Generalist
Reports to: Director of HR

Position Description:
The HR Generalist serves as a trusted partner to the Director of HR, supporting key human resources functions including employee relations, training and development, HR projects, compliance, and operational HR support. This role requires strong HR knowledge, effective collaboration with operations leadership, and the ability to independently manage and execute HR initiatives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct oversight and perform audits of bi-weekly hourly payroll
  • Process bi-weekly salary payroll
  • Partner with Director of HR and operations team in the creation and implementation of training and development programs, retention initiatives, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Director of HR to mentor HR team members by providing guidance, support, and knowledge sharing to foster team growth and development
  • Partner with operations to resolve employee relations issues including conducting investigations and assist with employee relations counseling, escalating any complex issues to the Director of HR
  • Drive HR-related projects such as system implementations, process improvements, and compliance initiatives
  • Partner with Director of HR to review, update, and communicate human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other federal regulations
  • Collaborate with the Director of HR on strategic planning and departmental goals
  • Act as SME for Paycor/HRIS system
  • Assist with initiatives that support positive employee engagement and culture
  • Act as back up for employee benefits enrollment
  • Assist in establishing a culture of openness, honesty, and integrity through solid associate relation practices and communication by supporting fair and consistent practices
  • Assist with completion of required reports such as ACA, FAS, and EEOC
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Deliver HR initiatives within the operating budget
  • Retention as it relates to set KPIs
  • HR compliance
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
  • Experience with processing payroll, Paycor HRIS is highly preferred
  • Experience with complex employee relations
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other related field preferred
