Job description

The Director of Marketing is responsible for partnering with property and corporate leadership to develop and execute the overall marketing strategy for Horseshoe and Lady Luck Black Hawk. This role is accountable for the flawless execution of marketing initiatives and for fostering a culture of exceptional service and hospitality across all customer segments, driving loyalty, visitation, and sustainable revenue growth. The Director of Marketing collaborates closely with the Regional Vice President of Marketing, Enterprise Shared Services, and property operational leaders to design, implement, and execute integrated marketing programs. These programs include, but are not limited to, advertising, reputation management, entertainment, promotions, VIP events, off-site events, cross-property initiatives, and other strategic efforts focused on enhancing guest engagement and loyalty. 

Starting salary: $120,000 based on experience

  • Extensive experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans, brand initiatives, and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Strong digital marketing expertise, including social media, email marketing, website management, SEO/SEM, and analytics platforms.
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth through marketing strategies, promotions, sponsorships, and customer engagement programs.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets, forecasting campaign performance, and measuring return on investment (ROI).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing marketing teams, external agencies, vendors, and cross-functional partnerships.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends, customer insights, and performance metrics to guide decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, storytelling, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization and represent the brand within the community.
  • Strong organizational, project management, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in a seniorlevel marketing or hospitality leadership role, managing highvolume revenue and significant marketing budgets.
  • Marketing experience required.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Support gaming license.
  • Develop, manage, and administer the marketing department budget in alignment with property and corporate objectives.
  • Plan, develop, and execute all promotional, entertainment, and Player Development initiatives, including special events.
  • Direct all database and directresponse marketing programs, including campaign strategy, print production, mailing timelines, redemption rates, and cost controls.
  • Partner with the corporate media team to plan and direct all advertising efforts across applicable channels.
  • Oversee public relations activities in collaboration with Public Relations to ensure consistent and effective media relations and community engagement.
  • Responsible for the supervision and performance of the casino hosts, VIP services representatives.
  • Organized deployment of host incentive plans and benchmarks.
  • Developing and managing programs and processes for customer service and recognition of VIP players.
  • Monitor and guide social media and reputation management efforts to ensure brand consistency and positive community awareness.
  • Responsible for department financials, including budgeting, forecasting and P&L reviews, monitoring and adjusting department spending compared to current revenue trends.
  • Ensure a superior guest experience by positively influencing interactions with guests and team members and demonstrating resilience when managing challenging situations.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all responsibilities and interactions.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities and provide support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, departmental, and Company policies, modeling ethical behavior and holding others accountable to the same standards.
  • Work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts or work locations.
  • Organize and lead regular meetings with partners and stakeholders to advance prioritized initiatives, address obstacles, and manage competing priorities.
  • Proactively communicate initiative status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership, escalating issues as appropriate to ensure timely resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management and crossfunctional teams.
  • Lead with integrity and ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies.
  • Identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions to mitigate or eliminate risk.
  • Champion a culture of honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior, fostering an environment in which employees feel comfortable reporting potential concerns.
  • Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests; manage processes to reduce losttime injuries.
  • Review staffing plans to ensure appropriate levels are maintained in accordance with budgeted labor targets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or reasonably requested by management.
