Primary Purpose:
Provides high quality supervision and instruction in applied professional psychology to ensure students meet clinic and course outcomes. Collaborates with college staff and colleagues to improve students' learning experience. The clinical faculty will also serve as part-time school psychological consultant for the University School system, a PK -12 private system including the preschool, lower, middle, and upper schools.

Essential Job Functions:
Teaching
1. Provides high quality instruction in field of expertise, ensuring students meet course outcomes.
2. Plans, evaluates, and revises curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction.
3. Identifies specialized materials for outside reading assignments.
4. Initiates, facilitates, and moderates classroom discussions.
5. Assists students who need extra help with their coursework outside of class.
6. Maintains student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
7. Evaluates and grades students' class work, clinic work, assignments, and/or papers.
8. Compiles, administers, and grades examinations, or assigns this work to others.
9. Maintains regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students.
10. Advises students on academic and vocational curricula and on career issues.
11. Acts as advisor to student organizations, ensuring adherence to college and university policies and procedures. Supervises practicum students and others, as assigned, on at least a weekly basis concerning their projects, educational/prevention activities, and documentation.
NSU University School
12. Provides support to the Consulting/Supervising Psychologist and the NSU University school in risk and threat assessment, crisis intervention, coordinating classroom and grade level psychoeducational training, brief screening assessments, consultation, and supportive individual and group counseling.
13. Provides supervision and conducts evaluations with practicum students, interns, and post-doctoral residents as assigned.
14. Performs chart reviews.
15. Attends weekly leadership meeting.
16. Provides documentation and participates in reviews for academic accreditation.
Other Assigned Duties:
17. Collaborates with staff and colleagues to address teaching and clinical issues and to improve students' learning experiences.
18. Serves on academic or administrative committees that deal with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues.
19. Participates in student recruitment, registration, and placement activities.
20. Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
21. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Ability to orally communicate effectively with others, with or without the use of an interpreter.
2. Ability to communicate effectively in writing using the English language, with or without the use of auxiliary aids or services.
3. Ability to review, understand, and apply concepts presented in training programs, conferences, and/or professional literature.
4. Ability to work and cooperate with colleagues and supervisory staffs at all levels.
5. Ability to travel locally and nationally.
Required Certifications/Licensures: Licensed or license eligible as a psychologist in the state of Florida.
Required Education: Doctoral Degree
Major (if required: Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or School Psychology
Required Experience: 1. University teaching experience.
2. Clinical/scholarly expertise in clinical, counseling, or school psychology.
