The Program Manager II is a central role at OCCAM Immune responsible for driving execution across industry-sponsored programs while supporting external engagement and organizational visibility. This position operates at the interface of business development, scientific delivery, and operations, ensuring that partnerships are translated into high-quality, executable programs.
The role works closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to implement strategic priorities while maintaining ownership of day-to-day operations, partner coordination, and program delivery. The position also plays an important role in supporting OCCAM Immune's external presence through coordinated marketing, communications, and visibility initiatives.
This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing Academic Research Organization (ARO) operating at the intersection of translational immunology, immune monitoring, and precision immunotherapy within a highly collaborative academic and industry-facing environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate industry-sponsored programs: Manage end-to-end coordination of industry-sponsored studies from post-contract execution through final delivery, ensuring alignment between client expectations, scientific priorities, timelines, and operational execution.
- Support strategic partnerships: Serve as a primary operational point of contact for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, academic, and clinical partners while helping strengthen long-term collaborative relationships aligned with OCCAM Immune's scientific and translational mission.
- Translate proposals into executable programs: Convert scientific proposals and signed agreements into structured operational plans including scopes of work, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and internal project workflows.
- Support contracting and operational planning: Coordinate preparation and tracking of MSAs, SOWs, amendments, pricing documentation, and related operational materials in collaboration with Mount Sinai legal, business development, and executive leadership teams.
- Coordinate operational infrastructure: Help structure and optimize operational workflows, project management systems, SOPs, and scalable organizational processes that support efficient study execution and long-term growth.
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination: Serve as a key operational connector between scientific teams, leadership, administrative groups, HIMC, external collaborators, vendors, and industry sponsors to support integrated program delivery.
- Strengthen organizational visibility: Support OCCAM Immune's marketing and communication strategy through website coordination, social media engagement, scientific visibility initiatives, presentations, brochures, and external communications that elevate the organization's profile within the biotech and translational research ecosystem.
Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree. Preferred Master's degree, PhD, MBA, or equivalent experience in Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Business Operations, Project Management, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience. Preferred in biotechnology, CRO/ARO environments, translational research, clinical research operations, or program management.
- Strong understanding of study lifecycle management, operational coordination, and client-facing program delivery.
- Experience coordinating complex scientific programs, operational workflows, or strategic partnerships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of presentations, reports, partnership materials, and operational documents.
- Strong organizational, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with executive leadership, scientific teams, administrative staff, industry partners, and external collaborators.
