Position Summary...What you'll do...
Manager, Tax – Global Tax Reform 
Location: Bentonville, AR  
 
This is a newly created role on the Global Tax Reform team. This role will manage the implementation of global law changes, including the implementation of tax compliance solutions for OECD initiatives (e.g., Pillar 2).  The role is part of a multi-disciplinary approach to Global Tax Reform that includes modeling, compliance, planning, and policy guidance. This role will have a particular focus on implementing and overseeing Pillar 2 compliance globally. The role will also work with the greater tax team to analyze and document tax positions. 
 
 About Global Tax at Walmart 
The Global Tax Team at Walmart is responsible for managing the company’s tax strategy, compliance, and risk across all jurisdictions where Walmart operates.  Given Walmart’s global scale, this team plays a critical role in ensuring tax efficiency, legal compliance, and alignment with the company’s business strategies. 
 
What you’ll do: 
  • Collaborate on tax optimization with team members, contribute to achieving team goals, and assist in making well-informed decisions in complex situations. 
  • Use your tax technical knowledge and quantitative analysis to build efficient and effective positions and compliance. 
  • Issue spot and provide guidance to executive leadership to facilitate decision-making, in partnership with other subject matter experts in the tax org. 
  • Monitor evolving global tax developments (U.S., Pillar 2, and foreign law changes) and design strategic responses. 
 
What you’ll bring: 
  • 4+ years of experience in income tax planning and/or compliance and experience working in all tax areas of a U.S. multinational corporation 
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance 
  • MBA, Master’s in Accountancy or Tax, or a JD with a Tax LL.M.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
