Overview

The Program Director, Masters of Science Artificial Intelligence Systems (MSAIS) Program focuses primarily on recruiting prospective students for Touro University's Graduate School of Technology (GST). Key responsibilities include student outreach, managing admissions, processing acceptances, and handling immigration matters. The position also involves supporting current graduate students with course registration, financial aid, academic advisement, retention efforts, and graduation preparation. Additionally, organizing professional workshops and presenting the program at appropriate events

Responsibilities
  • Recruitment:
    • Develop and implement recruitment strategies for prospective students.
    • Promote GST programs through open houses, career fairs, and other outreach efforts.Proactively engage potential students via calls, emails, and texts.
    • Track and manage inquiries using a CRM system, providing regular updates to the Dean and management.
    • Collaborate with the committee to enhance CRM system usage.
    • Evaluate competitive programs to optimize recruitment strategies.
    • Participate in marketing initiatives, including weekly committee meetings.
    • Respond to inquiries via email, phone, chat, and other communication platforms.
    • Guide applicants through the admissions process, reviewing application materials and financial records.
    • Present GST programs at open houses and information sessions.
    • Make admissions decisions in line with program requirements.
    • Assist students with immigration processes and recommend I-20 status as appropriate.
    • Supervise graduate student workers and delegate tasks accordingly.

    • Welcome new students, help them adjust to classes, and provide ongoing advisement.
    • Present program details at orientation for incoming students.
    • Assist students with navigating financial aid when necessary.
    • Meet with students regularly to address concerns and provide guidance.
    • Advise on course selection and registration.
    • Collaborate with academic leadership to support at-risk students.
    • Monitor student performance and recommend academic probation for low-performing students.
    • Assist the Dean and Program Chairs with daily operations and assume responsibilities in their absence.
    • Work with the Registrar's office to ensure accurate student records.
    • Maintain up-to-date student information in the school's database system.
    • Collaborate on developing academic schedules and new programs.
    • Coordinate guest speaker events in graduate courses.
    • Serve on the commencement planning committee and assist with capstone presentations for graduating students.

Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3 plus years of experience in academic recruitment and/or student engagement highly desired.
  • Experience in international student support highly desired.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and database management.
