Medical Information Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Medical Information Specialist to support global medical information activities across multiple therapeutic areas. This role is responsible for developing scientific content, responding to complex medical inquiries, evaluating clinical literature, and ensuring accurate medical communication for healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical writing skills, clinical knowledge, and experience interpreting scientific data while collaborating with global cross functional teams. This position also supports international medical information operations and works closely with external service partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and maintain global medical information content and scientific response documents.
  • Respond to complex medical information inquiries from healthcare professionals and internal business partners.
  • Evaluate clinical literature, treatment guidelines, and scientific publications to develop evidence based medical responses.
  • Prepare and maintain scientific documentation and Data on File supporting medical information activities.
  • Review medical content to ensure scientific accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Interpret clinical trial data and communicate scientific information to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and improve medical information resources.
  • Identify medical information trends and insights from inquiry data to support continuous improvement.
  • Support international medical information operations and collaborate with external medical information service providers.
  • Lead and participate in multidisciplinary meetings while maintaining high quality project execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, Physician Assistant, Health Sciences, or Medical degree.
  • Experience supporting Medical Information within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong medical writing experience.
  • Experience evaluating scientific literature and clinical research.
  • Knowledge of clinical trial methodology and statistical concepts.
  • Strong understanding of disease states, treatment guidelines, and product labeling.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree such as PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, or Masters degree.
  • Experience using Veeva Vault.
  • Experience using Salesforce.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting global medical information organizations.
  • Experience collaborating with international teams and external service providers.
