Responsibilities * Support the Secretary of War for Science and Technology (S&T) Program Protection as it guides and supports modern research and analysis of strategic biotechnology initiatives * Advise top Pentagon leadership on biotechnology issues
* Work to evaluate and secure cutting-edge technology essential to the modernization of national strategy in defense.
* Represent USD R&E on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and participate in Government-approved conferences and forums in addition to specific USD R&E projects.
* Assist, prepare and conduct meetings for current Biotechnology issues.
* Conduct biotechnology research analysis.
* Develop and coordinate concepts and requirements for the application of current and emerging technologies as they apply to DoD's R&E program.
* Assist and prepare presentations and reports to DoD leadership and outside DoD.
* Track the department-wide budget for efforts aligning with Biotechnology.
* Maintain and update Biotechnology modernization roadmaps, coordinate roadmaps with key stakeholders.
* Make recommendations to the development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) pertinent to mission needs and technical capabilities. Qualifications * * 10 years of experience of engineering, biotechnology, and Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E)
* Master's degree in STEM and minimum of 5-years recent experience in biotechnology or an MBA degree
* TS/SCI Clearance
* Excellent writing, communication and briefing
Previous experience with: * Department of War RDT&E mission and processes.
* Engineering, analysis of alternatives, integration, requirements, and testing.
