Hiring Range

$53,900.00 - $74,150.00/Annual Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.


Overview
The General Ledger Accountant prepares and analyzes journal entries, account reconciliations and schedules on a monthly, annual, and as-needed basis, particularly during the month-end close process. The Accountant prepares monthly financial statements and performs research on new accounting pronouncements impacting Riverside Health System (RHS). This role interacts with other departments in the administration of assignments and assists with the year-end audit.
What you will do

  • Prepare end of month reports to include General Ledger, Trial Balance, and AR Aging Detail
  • Prepare and analyze journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules, both monthly and annually
  • Ensure auditable financial data is complete and available to auditors in a timely manner and with proper documentation
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Prepare management financial reporting packages for Board of Directors meetings
  • Assess the integrity of all General Accounting functions. Recommend and implement improvements.


Qualifications
Education

  • Bachelors Degree, in Accounting or Finance with concentration in Accounting (Required)
  • Masters Degree, in a related field of study (Preferred)


Experience

  • Prior Accountant experience in healthcare (Preferred)


Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - The AICPA (Preferred)
