Job description

Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET)

The SDET is responsible for testing the our clients Mobility Technology platform, Web Services and Mobile Apps. This role has the responsibility of owning the automated testing of the Clutch platform starting with the Platform API and moving on to the Web UI and iOS and Android apps. This role designs the QA processes and integrates it into the software development life cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze product features.
  • Create test plans for Web and Mobile applications
  • Execute manual and automated tests
  • Analyze test failures and discover bugs in the software
  • Document test reports, bug reports
  • Record test progress and results
  • Define and own the automated testing process including recommending frameworks and tools for API, Web UI, iOS and Android Apps.
  • Work with Product and Engineering leads in defining acceptance criteria for product features
  • Responsible for guaranteeing products ship out with high quality.
  • Act as the point of contact for quality related issues.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
  • At least 2 years of automation experience including experience in the creation of the process
  • API and Web UI testing experience
  • Strong technical skills including SQL, scripting and one or more programming languages, such as Scala, Java, Python or Golang
  • Experience integrating testing with build tools like CircleCI, Travis or Jenkins
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
