Job description


Job Title: Software Development Engineer (Golang)
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Software Development Engineer (Golang) with our client located in Santa Clara, CA.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Create simulation framework for the Portworx Enteprise Control Plane to run clusters of 1000s of nodes without hardware contraints
  • Refactor and redesign internal product interfaces to enable simulation and remove hardware dependency
  • Recommend & implement clean software abstraction in the Product
  • Experimenting with new technologies in order to push the state-of-the-art and innovate new solutions

Job Qualifications:
  • Experience with heavy use of Claude Code, Codex or Cursor for AI-lead development
  • Experience with Golang (Advance level) and Kubernetes
  • 8+ years of experience in Designing, Development and Testing of Enterprise products (Golang preferred).
  • BS in Computer Science required
  • Good understanding of Microservice Architectures and Cloud Native platforms
  • Designing micro services to operate and scale in a distributed system architecture that scales to thousands of nodes
  • Proven design sensibility and the willingness to work in a collaborative, team oriented environment.
  • Solid CS background in data structures, algorithms and software design.
