What is a master social work?

A Master of Social Work (MSW) is a graduate-level degree that prepares individuals for advanced professional practice in social work. The program typically covers topics like clinical practice, social policy, human behavior, and research methods. Collaboration usually involves sharing client assessments, developing intervention plans, and participating in team meetings to ensure all aspects of a client's well-being are addressed. Strong communication and advocacy skills are essential, as social workers frequently serve as liaisons between clients and other providers. This collaborative environment supports comprehensive service delivery and helps social workers learn from other disciplines, contributing to their professional development.
