Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB?

The Master Plumber is the licensed plumbing authority responsible for the safe, code‑compliant operation and maintenance of all plumbing systems at a large workforce accommodations facility in the State of Texas.

The site consists of temporary, modular, hardwall structures configured into a complex that supports housing, washrooms, kitchens, laundry facilities, and common spaces for a rotating workforce. In addition to licensed plumbing work, the role supports general facilities maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operations.

This position requires an active Texas Master Plumber license issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE) and strict compliance with Texas plumbing codes and standards.

YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE

Plumbing Systems & Code Compliance

  • Serve as the licensed Master Plumber for the facility, ensuring compliance with:
    • Texas State Plumbing Code
    • Applicable municipal requirements
  • Install, inspect, repair, service, and maintain plumbing systems, including:
    • Domestic water distribution
    • Drainage, waste, and vent (DWV) systems
    • Hot water systems and heaters
    • Fixtures, valves, pumps, and backflow prevention
  • Diagnose and resolve leaks, blockages, pressure issues, and system failures
  • Ensure plumbing systems serving temporary and modular structures operate safely and reliably
  • Supervise and verify plumbing work performed by apprentices, journeymen, or contractors as permitted by Texas law.

Facilities Maintenance Support

  • Support general facilities maintenance activities related to plumbing infrastructure
  • Perform routine inspections to identify deficiencies or risks
  • Respond to plumbing emergencies and service calls
  • Coordinate with other trades, maintenance staff, and subcontractors
  • Maintain documentation of inspections, repairs, and corrective actions

Safety, Leadership & Compliance

  • Ensure all plumbing work is performed in accordance with site safety programs
  • Enforce lock‑out/tag‑out and confined‑space procedures where applicable
  • Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews
  • Provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel
Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Active Texas Master Plumber license issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE)
  • Eligible to supervise plumbing work in accordance with Texas law
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional plumbing
  • Demonstrated experience working with temporary, modular, or prefabricated structures
  • Strong knowledge of the Texas State Plumbing Code
  • Experience supporting high‑occupancy residential or workforce accommodation facilities
  • Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of site plumbing systems
