Department Data Science Job Title Adjunct - Data Science Program Job Type Is Tenure Track Job Summary
The Data Science program at Gettysburg College invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty
position to teach undergraduate data science courses during the 2026-2027 academic year,
pending budgetary approval and institutional need. Courses taught may include Data Science
256: Data Science Programming (an introduction to core data science concepts through Python
and relevant libraries such as NumPy and Pandas) and Data Science 325: Applied Data Science,
which explores machine learning techniques. This position offers an opportunity to engage with
a vibrant liberal arts community and contribute to a dynamic curriculum and a growing program
in Data Science.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold at least a master's degree in data science or a related discipline. Preference
will be given to candidates who hold a doctoral degree (or are ABD). Previous teaching
experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.
