Job description


The qualified applicant will report to the Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. The head coach will direct all aspects of the men's lacrosse program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; recruitment of quality student-athletes, scheduling, managing and coaching games, planning and conducting practices, organizing team travel, monitoring student-athletes' academic progress, equipment maintenance and purchases, budget management, fundraising
and administrative duties required to maintain a competitive men's lacrosse program. Additionally, a thorough understanding of and accountability to NCAA, Old Dominion Athletic Conference and institutional rules and regulations is necessary. Review of applications will begin immediately. This is a 12-month, full-time position with benefits.
Qualifications include minimum of a bachelor's degree with master's degree preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with college coaching experience. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by the college's auto insurance carrier.
