Job description

REPORTS TO:
Principal / Assistant Superintendent

JOB GOAL:
To help provide an instruction and learning environment which fosters the ability of each pupil to master mathematics skills appropriate to age, grade level and individual potential.
QUALIFICATIONS:


  • New Jersey Instructional Certification in the appropriate subject matter and level preferred.
  • 5-8 Math certificate or k-6 certification with advanced coursework in teaching mathematics preferred
  • Minimum of three years of teaching experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of best practices and current research in math instruction and intervention
  • Proven experience in fostering student achievement
  • Experience using data to track, diagnosis, and remediate student learning in math
  • Effective problem-solving, human relations, and communication skills
  • Possesses a mindset of ongoing learning, experimentation, innovation, and enthusiasm
  • Demonstrates a commitment to professional development
  • Successful Criminal History Clearance.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization.
