We are hiring for a Senior Mental Health Counselor Masters position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!

Position is Full time, 0.9 FTE, Variable shift, 36 hours per week.

The Clinical Assessment Specialist is a licensed professional with a master's degree in the social services fields. They serve as a member of the emergency/acute care clinical team to provide psychiatric risk assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and implementation, and crisis intervention to patients and families in both the Medical and Psychiatric Emergency Departments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or other related field. Or,

  • Upon hire: Alaska Psychologist License. Or,
  • Upon hire: Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License. Or,
  • Upon hire: Alaska Professional Counselor License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • 3 years Clinical experience in the mental health field.
