Gallup is accepting applications through Oct. 30, 2026, for this full-time role, scheduled to start in June 2027.
Help education leaders enhance their students' experiences as you build your consulting career.
As an associate consultant for K-12 school systems and higher education institutions, you will build trusted advisory relationships that transform systems and institutions and turn complicated education challenges into positive results.
In this role, you will develop knowledge, skills and expertise on workplace dynamics and issues. Your bold thinking, effective communication, project management expertise, commitment to excellence and inspiring influence will lead to lasting change for educational systems and their leaders, faculty, staff and students.
You'll contribute to real client work from the start, get mentoring based on your strengths, and collaborate with experienced Gallup consultants to build a strong foundation for long-term career advancement and success as a leader at Gallup.
Apply today to change your future and, more importantly, the futures of educational leaders and their students.
What You'll Do
As an associate consultant in our education division, you will partner with senior advisers to:
  • Organize and orchestrate detailed change management programs and high-quality deliverables
  • Decipher education leaders' greatest needs
  • Identify data-driven insights about your client school systems and institutions
  • Combine human and artificial intelligence to turn data insights into actionable steps for leaders
  • Influence leaders and teams to align and act by building deep client relationships
  • Collaborate to develop, present and facilitate executive sessions
  • Position and design sustainable solutions for ongoing growth and business impact

Who We Want
  • Organized overachievers who thrive on managing multiple client relationships and projects with precision, urgency and attention to detail
  • Critical thinkers who use both human insight and artificial intelligence to solve education challenges and create sustainable, data-driven solutions
  • Continual learners who ask thoughtful questions, listen with intellectual curiosity, and immerse themselves in researching and understanding the education industry
  • Competitive performers who are energized by a fast-paced environment, push beyond the status quo and continually strive to be the best
  • Trusted advisers whose professional presence, business acumen and engaging personalities empower them to challenge assumptions, initiate change and influence decisions with research-based recommendations
  • Client-obsessed management consultants who are motivated to serve others and grow lasting partnerships by delivering meaningful outcomes

What You Need
  • Bachelor's degree by May 2027 required
  • Availability to start working full time in June 2027 required
  • At least one year of experience in project management, client management, business development, fundraising or recruitment, and/or entrepreneurial efforts in school, volunteering, internships or professional work required
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and outstanding performance in education, volunteer activities or professional work required
  • A commitment to working on-site at Gallup's Washington, D.C., office Monday through Thursday required, with the option to work remotely on Friday
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship

What You'll Experience
  • Mission-driven work: Make a meaningful difference in the world with your unique contributions, commitment to service and exceptional outcomes.
  • An empowering culture: Collaborate with smart, passionate people who love what they do and welcome your ideas, perspectives and experiences.
  • Learning and development: Grow in your career as we invest in what you do best, encourage curiosity and create an environment where it's safe - and expected - to challenge the status quo.
  • Brand strength, startup energy: Thrive in an innovative environment backed by a trusted brand.
  • A vibrant workplace: Enjoy access to exciting public-facing events and our hub for thought leadership in our global headquarters in Washington, D.C. - nestled in the nation's capital and steps away from the National Mall and other historic landmarks.
