What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead a Core Industrial & Operations Engineering Team - Provide day-to-day leadership for a multidisciplinary group that delivers industrial & operations engineering services across all LM Aeronautics sites and LOBs. Team deliverables include:
  • Develop and maintain F-35 baseline SWBS schedules and ERP demand signals - Partner with Production, Program Management, Finance, Production Engineering, and Global Supply Chain to develop long-range build schedules and capacity assessments to support program rate requirements and ensure alignment between production execution and customer demand. Serve as SAP point of contact for all Aeronautics sites and LOBs, addressing ERP related needs and ensuring master data integrity.
    • Data Analytics and Metrics Development - Lead an Ops Data Analyst team to design and deploy performance metrics/analysis across multiple LOBs using Tableau, SQL, Alteryx, Python, and AI based platforms to enable data driven decision making for production leadership.
    • Production Simulation Modeling (Simio) - Lead simulation modeling support across LM Aeronautics sites and programs, developing discrete-event models to evaluate production flow, capacity, throughput, and constraints.
  • Support 1LMX Transformation - Represent Core Industrial Engineering in support of 1LMX by applying knowledge of IE capabilities, systems, processes and business needs to help define requirements, evaluate solutions and support the implementation of 1LMX tools:
    • Siemens Xcelerator / TeamCenter, Dassault Apriso, SAP S4 HANA and several +1 Citizen developed web applications
    • Partnership with Operations Software Engineering web app and AI/ML team
  • Define Vision & Strategy - Establish a long-term vision and roadmap for the team's technical capabilities, skill development, customer support; aligning strategy with Lockheed Martin's broader production goals.
  • Build a High-Performance Culture - Foster a trust-based, collaborative environment where team members are empowered to be innovative and take ownership of outcomes to deliver results. Invest in the growth and development of each team member by providing coaching, mentorship, and clear career pathways.
  • Recruit, Onboard & Retain Talent - Lead hiring and recruitment efforts, assess and determine team staffing needs, and ensure new hires receive the resources, training, and support needed to succeed.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement - Champion lean, Six-Sigma, and other industrial engineering techniques to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve overall plant efficiency. Evaluate emerging software, tools, and methodologies (e.g., new analytics platforms, advanced simulation packages) and lead adoption where beneficial
  • Collaborate Across Functions - Work closely with program management, production, finance, engineering, and other support groups. Serve as the liaison between production execution teams and program management.
  • Performance Management - Set clear expectations, provide regular coaching and feedback, recognize high performers and address performance issues constructively
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Manages activities involving the producibility and quality of the product, and the processes that directly pertain, encompassing primarily one or more of the following engineering disciplines: failure analysis, industrial, manufacturing, manufacturing equipment, process, product, quality assurance, reliability, supplier quality, Lean Six Sigma, test, and tool. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Basic Qualifications
  • Education - Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Operations Engineering, Engineering Management, Data Analytics/Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited university
  • Industry - Experience in Aerospace and/or Automotive
  • Industrial/Operations Engineering Experience - Demonstrated ability to apply IE/OE tools/concepts in a high-volume production environment (e.g., discrete simulation modeling, capacity planning, staffing plans, schedule development, Earned Value Management (EVMS), EAC cost analysis, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and theory of constraints application)
  • Data Analytics Experience - Demonstrated ability to leverage data analytics tools and software to build robust data object pipelines, map critical data flows and deliver actionable user dashboards.
  • People-First Leadership - Demonstrated commitment to mentoring, coaching, and developing future leaders; expertise in building high-trust, high-engagement teams. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop strategy for technical teams by establishing vision, goals and roadmaps.

  • Analytical & Technical Proficiency - Hands-on experience with simulation platforms (Simio, ARENA or equivalent), data-analysis tools (SAP HANA Studio, SQL, Python, Alteryx) and visualization/reporting (Tableau or similar)

  • Collaborative Cross-Functional Experience - Ability to collaborate effectively across multifunctional teams, align priorities, and coordinate efforts to achieve production objectives
  • Systems Transition Experience - Digital Model Based Manufacturing Environment - Experience transitioning to: 1) SAP S4 Hana Enterprise Resource Planning 2) Xcelerator / Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management 3) Apriso Manufacturing Execution System.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
