Job Summary:
Georgia IT, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead enterprise data strategy, data platform modernization, and solution design. This role works directly with business, architecture, and engineering teams to define scalable data architectures aligned to organizational priorities.
Responsibilities:
• Lead enterprise data architecture and solution design
• Partner with business stakeholders to define data strategy and roadmap
• Build conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support analytics
• Drive cloud adoption and modernization initiatives
• Establish data governance, lineage, and master data practices
• Oversee integration design and data ingestion strategy
• Guide data engineering teams and enforce standards
• Conduct architecture reviews and stakeholder workshops
• Evaluate new technologies and develop reference architectures
• Ensure alignment with enterprise security and compliance standards
Qualifications:
Required:
• 10+ years in data architecture and engineering
• Strong experience with cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Deep data modeling & warehousing experience
• Experience working directly with business teams
• Strong MDM, governance, and metadata experience
• Hands‐on experience with Spark, Databricks, and Python/SQL
• Snowflake expertise
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Excellent business communication & collaboration
• Leadership and stakeholder management
• Strategic thinker with strong ownership
Preferred:
• Experience with BigQuery/Redshift
