Job Summary:

Access Medical Laboratories is seeking an experienced and strategic Data Architect to lead the design, governance, and optimization of the organization's enterprise data architecture. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), this role will be responsible for developing scalable data solutions that support Access Medical Laboratories' digital transformation strategy and vision of becoming an insight-driven organization.

The Data Architect will establish enterprise data standards, design modern data architectures, oversee data governance and security, and lead the implementation of data warehouse and integration solutions. This individual will collaborate closely with IT leadership and business stakeholders to ensure data is reliable, secure, accessible, and positioned to support advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and business intelligence initiatives across the organization.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain the organization's enterprise data architecture, including data models, data flows, and system interactions.
  • Develop scalable data blueprints that support current and future business initiatives.
  • Establish enterprise data governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure data quality, consistency, privacy, and security.
  • Lead the design, evaluation, and implementation of enterprise data warehouse solutions, data integration platforms, and data mapping tools.
  • Define and oversee Master Data Management (MDM) strategies to improve data accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Partner with IT teams to integrate laboratory, operational, financial, and commercial systems into a unified data ecosystem.
  • Lead data planning initiatives supporting organizational growth, including future laboratory expansion outside of Florida.
  • Lead the organization's Power BI function, including the design, development, administration, and maintenance of Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards, reports, and reporting standards to support enterprise-wide business intelligence and data-driven decision-making.
  • Design and support role-based dashboards, reporting frameworks, and "Next Best Action" analytics capabilities.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, department leaders, and technical teams to identify data requirements and align enterprise architecture with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy regulations, security standards, and internal governance policies.
  • Evaluate emerging data technologies and recommend solutions that improve scalability, performance, and business intelligence capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on enterprise data strategy, architecture, governance, and business intelligence initiatives.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, or related disciplines.
  • Experience designing enterprise data architecture for complex organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational database technologies.
  • Experience implementing enterprise data warehouses and ETL/ELT solutions.
  • Expertise in Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, and data quality frameworks.
