As a Master Data Management (MDM) Intern, you may be involved in projects such as data cleansing, standardizing records, supporting data migration initiatives, or assisting with the integration of data from multiple sources. These tasks are essential in ensuring that the organization's data is accurate, consistent, and easily accessible across departments. Interns typically work closely with IT, business analysts, and data stewards, gaining hands-on experience in collaborative data governance and the use of MDM tools. Contributing to these projects not only builds your technical skills but also helps you understand the importance of high-quality data in driving business decisions.

To thrive as a Master Data Management Intern, you need a solid understanding of data analysis, database concepts, and ideally a background in information systems or computer science. Familiarity with data management tools such as SQL, SAP, Informatica, or Microsoft Excel, as well as exposure to data governance frameworks, is often required. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication help interns collaborate across teams and ensure data integrity. These skills are crucial for maintaining high-quality master data, supporting business processes, and minimizing errors in organizational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the regional execution of global master data governance strategies, policies, standards, and operating procedures across assigned data domains.
  • Partner with global governance teams to define, implement, and continuously improve master data standards, governance frameworks, and stewardship processes that support business objectives.
  • Serve as the regional subject matter expert and authority for master data definitions, ownership models, governance practices, and system-of-record strategies.
