This is the most senior site-level scheduling role requiring deep technical expertise in SAP systems (S/4HANA, PP/DS), strong understanding of manufacturing operations, and leadership in system optimization.
Responsibilities:

  • Detailed Production Planning: Translate IBP aggregate plans into detailed, feasible production schedules in S/4HANA, considering capacity constraints, material availability, production wheels, and operational priorities
  • PP/DS Optimization: Utilize PP/DS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) for finite capacity scheduling, sequencing optimization, and constraint-based planning
  • Exception Management: Monitor and resolve planning exceptions, material shortages, and capacity conflicts in ERP systems
  • Operational Alignment: Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Production Coordinators to ensure schedules are executable and aligned with plant capabilities
  • Schedule Optimization: Balance competing priorities (service levels, inventory targets, production efficiency) to create optimal schedules
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with Network Planners, Raw Materials Planners, and Production Coordinators to ensure seamless plan execution

B. System Super User & Technical Expert (30%)
  • System Expertise: Serve as the site-level subject matter expert for S/4HANA PP, PP/DS, and IBP integration
  • Master Data Ownership: Maintain and optimize production planning master data including production wheels, PIRs (Planned Independent Requirements), routing updates, shift patterns, and capacity models in collaboration with the CoE
  • STO Management: Ensure Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) are accurate and aligned with network transfer plans
  • System Testing & Validation: Participate in system testing for new features, updates, and enhancements; validate planning logic and system behavior
  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot complex system issues, work with IT and the CoE to resolve technical problems, and implement workarounds when needed
  • Process Documentation: Develop and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices for production scheduling

C. Training, Mentoring & Continuous Improvement (10%)
  • Training & Development: Train and mentor Master Production Schedulers and Production Coordinators on system functionality, planning processes, and best practices
  • Knowledge Sharing: Lead knowledge-sharing sessions, document lessons learned, and promote best practices across the site and network
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to improve planning accuracy, system performance, and process efficiency
  • S&OP Support: Provide inputs for site S&OP meetings, including capacity assessments, production constraints, and execution performance
  • Change Management: Support organizational change initiatives related to new systems, processes, or operational improvements

Essential Functions of the Role**:
  • Technical Leadership: Recognized expert who guides others on complex system and process issues
  • Problem-Solving Excellence: Diagnoses root causes of complex system and process issues and implements effective solutions
  • Execution Focus: Drives results and ensures schedules are achievable and executed effectively
  • Training & Mentoring: Ability to coach and develop others effectively
  • Collaboration: Works effectively across functions (IT, Operations, Global Planning, CoE)
  • Communication: Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Detail-oriented with high standards for data accuracy and process discipline
  • Operates within Hollister's global standardized planning processes and SAP framework

Work Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on SAP experience (S/4HANA PP required, PP/DS highly preferred)
